The authors will gather at the library from 2pm-3pm to discuss their love of reading and literature, and mingle over coffee and cake.
Australian Reading Hour is a nationwide event in which Australians are encouraged to take one hour out of their day to read for pleasure.
Gundagai author Michael Murphy will read from Beneath The Willow, inspired by a letter from his grandfather to his grandmother just before he left for World War II.
The book gives a fictional account of the impact of war on a family after one of its members was swept up in the horrors of the battle of Fromelles, in which 2,000 Australian soldiers were killed or died of their wounds in only 24 hours.
Cootamundra's Debra Clewer has had her third children's book published in three years, Harriet and the Secret Coins, based on the Australian gold rush, to be launched this Sunday at Murrumburrah courthouse.
Her series, written for 8-12-year olds, also includes Harriet and the Secret Rings and Harriet and the Secret Librarian.
Cathie Bragg, also of Cootamundra, has written two cook books with poetry, including some of her own poems and poems by mostly Australian poets. She will read from A Spoonful of Country and Farm Cafe, based on the Long Track Pantry at Jugiong.
Ted O'Connor will read from My Unique and Charmed Life, a collection of his experiences in life written mainly for his family, "as thoughts came to me".
"It's interesting when you put it down, just how much you put into life," he said yesterday.
Other authors will include Gundagai's Jenny Glazebrook and Cootamundra historian and librarian Rochelle Nicholls.
The Australian Reading Hour promotes reading - in print or as an ebook - as being not only enjoyable and relaxing, but also improving people's concentration, imagination, literacy and language, and cultural and social appreciation.
The author meet and greet is free (no booking required) and refreshments will be served. Books will also be on sale.
