There has been pharmacy on this corner of town since 1925. After searching for a pharmacy in a country town, Paul and Judy Braybrooks came to Cootamundra in 1983 to take over the business, which has since been extended and updated.
The dedicated staff are happy to help with all requests, from prescriptions to surgical needs, health advice and gift selection.
They have years of experience in providing practical advice on health-related issues, surgical items and independent living aids.
There are so many aid products, with a hire service providing items to assist, such as wheelchairs, commodes, shower chairs, crutches and walkers. The latest addition is the knee walker, which has proved so useful after foot surgery.
Other smaller aids can make doing everyday tasks easier, such as reachers, specialised plates, cups and cutlery, stocking and sock aid, tap turners and many more.
Braybrooks Pharmacy has always been involved in health-related events in the community and supports many community groups and organisations.
One innovation embraced was the introduction of the Webster pack, which allows anyone to accurately take their medications at home. For many years staff have provided a blood pressure monitoring service - both regular and one-off checks - which can include a diabetes risk assessment.
A delivery service for medications and home aids is another service offered.
