With magnificent Spring conditions forecast for the Cootamundra Show it is appropriate that Weekend Sunrise weather presenter James Tobin is officially opening this year's event.

Starting at 8.30am today, Friday, October 18 the forecast for the show is for a top temperature of 24 degrees today and 22 degrees on Saturday.
The official opening will be at 3.30pm on Saturday.
Today's events include judging of the grain, fleece, merino meat breed sheep, fruit and vegetables as well as the beef cattle junior judging and junior beef program.
On Saturday the Cootamundra Yard Dog trials kick off action from 7.30am.
Entertainment will continue throughout the day with the pavilion closing at 7pm.
The 2019 Miss Cootamundra Showgirl will be announced at 3.40pm.
Cootamundra Show president Geoff Larsen said he looks forward to welcoming Cootamundra residents to this year's event to be held in an improved venue.
"We have been fortunate to receive good grant money from the NSW Government and our Council, it is being widely used," Mr Larsen said.
"Improvements are being implemented in our horse, sheep and cattle sections which will be a great help to exhibitors, stewards and onlookers."
Mr Larsen said youth participation is a real feature of the show with several young people going on to Royal Show events following their efforts at Cootamundra.
An attraction sure to prove popular with the kids will be the Scouts Climbing Wall.
