At The Arts Centre Cootamundra (TACC) we do and we invite you to enjoy it with us.
The Cootamundra Concert Band and the Young Town Band will perform separately and as a combined group in a wonderful hour of music on Friday, November 29 at 7:30pm.
Conductors Alison Patterson and Rodney Clancy are excited to bring these two groups together for an evening of fun, friendship and of course, the love of live music.
This fun evening is called 'Strike up the Bands' and will feature songs such as The Rainbow Connection from The Muppet Movie, I Got Rhythm by George and Ira Gershwin arranged by Michael Story and many more.
Tickets are available at the door ($15 adults and $2 students) and everyone is invited to enjoy a light supper at the conclusion of the performance.
Also at the end of the month, we are excited to be hosting the end-of-year concert for the Cootamundra Strings, a local string orchestra made up entirely of young people from six to 14 years of age.
Not only do these students learn to play a string instrument such as the violin, cello and double base, but they perform together as a group.
What a fantastic opportunity for our youth.
The concert will be held at 2pm on Saturday November 30 at TACC.
Entry is by gold coin donation and afternoon tea will be available at the conclusion of the concert.
Live music not your thing? Perhaps you're more of a movie buff.
We have some great movies lined up including Disney's Maleficent: Mistress of Evil starring Angelina Jolie showing this Friday November 22 at 6pm, Saturday November 23 at 11am and Sunday November 24 at 2pm.
In December we have Last Christmas for those looking for a Christmas rom com and Disney's Ford V Ferrari for those who enjoy drama, action and fast cars (and Matt Damon).
Disney's Frozen 2 will also be hitting our screen in early January.
