An occasion held last week to celebrate not only one full year in Cootamundra but also 12 months since rebranding from Boorowa Real Estate to Flemings Property Services.
Clients, tradespeople, solicitors and friends gathered to celebrate the occasion.
With Jamie and Rachel Wilson from The Rusty Table providing the catering, it was certain that nobody went hungry.
The food was received to raving reviews.
Originally established at Boorowa Real Estate in 2000, Flemings Property Services is now locally owned and run by Justin Fleming, Richard Fleming and Chris Ryan.
More specifically, the Cootamundra office, which was previously Ray White, is operated by Chris, Janet McAtear and Cindy Gash.
Chris gave a short speech in which he thanked not only their clients for their support but also the general Cootamundra community for welcoming Flemings with open arms.
40th ANNIVERSARY
Delighted to catch up with Donaldson Street couple Terry and Anne Cable on the occasion of their 40th Wedding Anniversary which was Sunday last.
A lucky couple who a few years back were involved in a serious car accident south of Wollongong and sustained critical injuries.
They have worked so hard to return to good health and are thankful that they have been able to move on.
CONGRATULATIONS Terry and Anne.
CELEBRATIONS
Local couple Brent Louttit and Ashleigh Liles have announced their engagement.
It was the happiest news for their parents Ian and Jackie Liles and Denis and Lyn Louttit.
COMMUNITY PARTY, DECEMBER 5
Come one, come all on Thursday evening, December 5, after 5pm, to the Cootamundra Community Christmas Party to be held in the CBD.
SHOP LOCALLY for that special Christmas gift. There will be non-stop entertainment (especially for the children), barbecue, market stalls with the drawing of the Shop Local competition to culminate a top evening out. The Christmas tree at the Parker/Wallendoon Street roundabout will be lit up - and this annual event is proudly bought to all by the Cootamundra Development Corporation.
MEMORABLE OUTING
Pictured on the page is Jack Mullany displaying some of this season's cherries.
His family each year stage a big day out in their orchard (on Saturday, December 7) with people on buses from Sydney and surrounds arriving to pick their own cherries (trucks take everyone interested up into the orchard).
The whole day is so Italian themed, with yummy food served all day - one sits around their packing sheds under umbrellas enjoying the music, fruits picked, homemade gelatos, Kath Mullany's homemade cherry pies coupled with espresso coffee to wash it all down! One would sum the day up as a yummy outing. Oh, and having been there last year a fun day out, having met people from Europe and Asia.
BIRTHDAY GREETINGS
Warmest birthday greetings to Irwin Henniker who on November 21 celebrated his 87th birthday. His lovely wife Ruby and family members gave him a day to remember.
AND wishing Julie Jenkins a SPECIAL Happy birthday as she celebrated a 'milestone' event this week. Julie's golfing and bridge playing friends hosted a long lunch for her and 'the icing on her birthday cake' was the surprise appearance of brilliant, outstanding singer Sarah Whitteron, who entertained all.
WEEKEND DOINGS
At the Arts Centre 7.30pm this evening Friday, November 29, get set to enjoy an evening of live music featuring the Cootamundra Concert Band and the Young Town Band.
Conductors Alison Patterson and Rodney Clancy are excited to bring these two groups together for an evening of fun, friendship and of course, the love of LIVE music! After the performance, the band members would like all those present to join them for a light supper.
On Saturday, November 30 make your way to Wallendbeen where, in the Community Hall, the local Red Cross members will be hosting their annual Christmas Fair beginning after 8.30am. Not to be missed is their Devonshire Tea, stalls, trading table and more.
Christmas Family Fun Day - the Cootamundra Country Club will be hosting a Christmas Family Fun Day on Sunday, December 8, from 2pm, for all members and their families. Heaps of raffles and prizes to be won and free face painting.
Also, the children will be able to meet with Santa.
