A MAN is dead and another is under police guard after a fight west of Yass on early on Monday morning.

Emergency services were called to a property on Glenroy Road at Good Hope, 20 kilometres south-west of Yass, at 2.45am on Monday and found a man suffering a stab wound. He died at the scene.
A second man was found nearby also suffering stab wounds and has been taken to Canberra Hospital where he remains under police guard.
A crime scene has been established and investigations are underway by detectives attached to the Hume Police District.
A knife has been located and will be taken for forensic examination.
Police understand the men were known to each other.
They are both believed to be aged in their 30s.
