Hopefully the tournament will be back in January 2021.
Last Friday, 14 bowlers took to the green, and after 21 ends J Jones and R Rosengreen recorded a (26-14) win over P Cockram and B Lange, for a 12-shot margin. C Jordan and G Dennis had a (21-19) victory over K Medcalf and G Worboys, the two-shot margin causing much jubilation when two appeared for the $300 jackpot draw.
The chicken winners for the best margin were W Rush, R Cleveland and J White who defeated P Rasmussen, J Malone and G Davidson with a 14-shot margin.
Good, close games were the order of the day on Sunday afternoon when, firstly, J Cook and G Davidson defeated K Medcalf and W Manwaring by one shot, and then A Ward, P Rasmussen and D Guthrie defeated R Williams, E Jarrott and E Thorburn by two shots, leaving C Miller and G Worboys as the chook winners when they defeated K Ryan and R Johnson by four shots. The jackpot number did not appear this time.
Tuesday, and a disappointing number of starters resulted in two close games of pairs. It was a drawn game (16-16) for C Miller and R Bradley who came home strongly to catch K Medcalf and B Gibson, and the meat tray winners as a result of a two-shots-in-the-ditch finish, were A Ward and J Cooper for their victory over C Peters and C Jordan. Raffle tray won by R Bradley.
