In social bowls on Wednesday, February 5, 20 bowlers took part in two pairs and two triples games. Ginger O'Brien, Duck O'Neill and Peter Hoang defeated T. Manar, Terry Cosgrove and Geoff Hillier in a very close encounter 21-20. Oscar Lopez, Mick Andrews and Graeme Dennis had a narrow 19-15 win over Jeff Withers, Ned Kelly and Jim White. Steve Stanton and Rob Hillier defeated Charlie Willis and Jeff Cook 19-13, while Jason Jones and Keith Hampton defeated Paul Cockram and Graeme Snape 25-17.
On Friday, February 7, one triples and a pairs game were played. Rob Hillier, Bloopy Manwaring and Craig Jordan defeated Oscar Lopez, Ginger O'Brien and Jeff Cook 25-10.
In the pairs game, Steve Stanton and Geoff Hillier were too good for Paul Cockram and Peter Hoang.

Social bowls: On Wednesday, February 5 Margaret Cosgrove, Lynn Fisher and Jan Roberts defeated Vera Jeffery, Bev Black and Carolyn Buchanan 17-7. Marilyn Allen, Sara Lopez and Wendy Deacon defeated Robyn Snape, Rhonda Nolan and Freda Hambrook 18-11.
Social bowls are played every Wednesday and Saturday at 9am, names in by 8.30am.

COUNTRY CLUB WOMEN
Last week's social play featured one game of triples.
Betty Cleveland, Jan Roberts and Karen McMinn had a win against Diana Buchanan, Jan Slavin and Marsha Phillips.
The pennant team defeated Grenfell last Saturday. Jan Slavin, Viv Christie, Jan Roberts and Donna Wade won both their games. Betty Cleveland, Diana Buchanan, Karen McMinn and Marsha Phillips lost their first game and drew the second.
The team will travel to Young for its next match tomorrow, so there will be no social play.
From the first Thursday in March, social play will revert to 9.30am for 10am play.
