We are excited to be launching a new group for adults interested in live performance and backstage support. The "TST Drama Group" will meet on the fourth Monday of the month at 7pm (cost $5) and dabble in a variety of performance disciplines, play readings, poetry and more.
We hope this group will create friendships and support the love of live theatre in our community. Why not give it a go? No need to register (simply turn up), no ongoing commitment and no expectations that you will jump straight into the spotlight - unless you want to of course!
What is TST? It is the Tin Shed Theatre, TACC's flagship venue space.
For local talent hoping to grace the TST stage, we will be hosting our first production of the year in June. To kick off proceedings, everyone is invited to enjoy a lively reading of the play we hope to perform on Saturday 7th March at 7pm (Cost $5. BYO drinks and nibbles). Auditions will be held later in the month.
For art and craft lovers, why not try one of our regular classes? Lorraine Garfield is facilitating our next Dabble Day on Thursday 5th March from 10am to 12.30pm. Lorraine will show you the basic stitches for Tunisian Crochet - looks just like knitting apparently! $10pp includes a special needle. Dabble Days run on the first Thursday of the month and are led by different guest facilitators. It is a fun day to try something new.
Our February Dabble Day was led by Jenny Neale who showed us how to make unique cards using dies and embossing. Attendees enjoyed the day so much they requested a regular class, so a monthly Card Making day was born! Join in on the third Tuesday each month from 10am to 2pm. $15pp includes all materials and equipment!
Perhaps you have your own projects already in progress and would like some friendly encouragement to keep going? Why not try our new "UFO Day" - a day to work on UnFinished Objects in the company of friends. Get on board a UFO Day on the first Tuesday each month from 10am to 12.30pm for $5. Painting, drawing, knitting, sewing, printmaking ... all crafts welcome.
