The Saturday morning game was contested by two teams from the Ex-Services Club.
D. O`Brien, W. Chater and R. Bradley defeated N. Blackett, J. Jones and T. Smith in that game and thus advanced to the final on Saturday afternoon against A. Ward, J. O`Loughlin. and C. Willis. Evenly contested for first half, R. Bradley and company took control in the second half and went on to win the game 29-15. After being presented with their winning prize money, they will now proceed to the Zone 8 games to be played down Narrandera way.
In club games since last week, E. Jarrott, K. Medcalf and R. Johnson were the chook winners on Friday when they scored a seven-shot margin in their win over C. Miller, P. Rasmussen and R. Cleveland. K. Ryan and W. Manwaring were winners also, with just a three-shot margin.
Only a small field was present on Tuesday, but two hotly contested games resulted.
P. Rasmussen and B. Lange scored one more end than A. Ward and R. Johnson, but a couple of fives and threes in the middle of that game gave them a win and 16 points.
J Cooper and C. Jordan scored on 13 ends in their game with C Willis and G. Davidson, giving them 18.5 points and the meat trays for the day. The raffle tray went to B. Lange.
The club championship are under way and a major singles game has been played between Adam Hutchinson and John O`Loughlin. A game where only one man, according to John, is left standing and John was that man on this occasion as a result of his 31-9 victory.
