
EX-SERVICES WOMEN
President's Day was to be held Wednesday, March 4 but the green was closed due to inclement weather.
Twelve teams played on the day with teams from Temora, Grenfell, Young, Cootamundra CC, Harden, Boorowa, SW District representing their clubs. Winners were pulled from a hat. In first was Young, runner-up was Cootamundra CC. A total of $213 was raised from the trade table for CanAssist.
Cootamundra Ex-Services has won the 2020 Internal Pennant competition with a point score of 13.5, defeating Young, 8, Harden, 6.5, and Boorowa, 2.
EX-SERVICES MEN
In the Major Singles game, Kim Roberts defeated state champion Terry Smith 31-19. The first round Major Pairs game had Neil Blackett and Craig Jordan playing 2018-19 champions Terry McDonald and Jim Deacon. This was a tight contest with not many shots between the teams, but McDonald and Deacon managed to hold of their opposition to win 25-22.
In pennants, Cootamundra Ex Grade 5 played Quandilla at home where they had a 68-47 overall win. Cootamundra Ex Grade 6 played Cootamundra CC at home, where they recorded a a close 59-50 overall win. Cootamundra Ex Grade 7 travelled to Young. They found the going tough, going down 57-49 in the overall.

COUNTRY CLUB WOMEN
The South Western District pennants competition concluded at Young last Saturday, with Coota Country Club winning the no. 4 pennant. Well done to the team of Jan Slavin, Viv Christie, Ellenor Armstrong, Marsha Phillips, Betty Cleveland, Jan Roberts, Diana Buchanan, Jennifer Blundell, Karen McMinn, Donna Wade and Pat Francis, who will now contest the regional playoffs at Young in mid-April.
Social play tomorrow will be Queen of the Green, followed by lunch and the monthly meeting.
