The money was raised through raffles outside Woolworths and IGA, a decent donation, plus a donation from Cootamundra District Cricket Association.
The total amount handed over amounted to $3710.
Normally, a part of the fund raising was a special cricket match; however, this match was not played in February due to rain, so the cricket fundraising came from the Delta Agribusiness Cup match, between the Crusaders and the Central Hotel.
The match was played as a day /night fixture at Fisher Park, which was the first match, played with the new lights.
This season was the fifth time the Cootamundra District Cricket Association and Legacy have joined forces to raise money for Legacy.
The five fundraisers have seen Cootamundra Legacy benefit to a total of $14,885.
Legacy is Legacy is committed to helping young families; protecting ageing and vulnerable widows; caring for dependants with disabilities; providing protection for defence force families and; providing pension advocacy through a nationwide network of Pension Officers.
