According to the Murrumbidgee Local Health District, the woman acquired COVID-19 overseas.
No further information has been made public at this stage.
By 11am on Friday, a new case was confirmed in Wagga, taking the local government area's total to 10.
That positive result in the Wagga brings the Murrumbidgee total to 41, a tally which includes one resident of Victoria who is currently isolating in NSW.
In all, 1902 people have been tested for the coronavirus in the Murrumbidgee.
