The fact that I can only present one day`s play on the bowling green at the Cootamundra Country Club for our men this week would I`m sure, be understood as the district was inundated with soaking rain and more to come this week and over the weekend, I understand.
Last Tuesday, numbers were down, thus only two games of Pairs to report on.
John Cooper (Young Bowling Club) is one of our regular Tuesday bowlers and he was given Arty Ward to play with.
They had Geoff Hagan and Keith Townley as opposition with Geoff and Keith on fire for the first half of this game.
At end 12 Arty and John caught them and went on to win the game (22-14) for a 15.5 point score.
However, Tony Ward and Charlie Willis claimed the meat trays for the day.
The tray went their way after turned in a card that showed a (31-12) win over Geoff Botrall and Frank Kerr that earned them 18.5 points.
The raffle winner was Arty Ward.
