Chris Main has put his hand up to co-ordinate the Cootamundra District Junior Cricket Association's Junior Blasters program.
The Junior Blasters program will run on Wednesday afternoons at Albert Park from 4pm until 5pm.
Registration is $99 for this program, which includes gear based on whether the child is a first time participant or a returning player.
Junior Blasters kicks off on October 14 and will run until December 9.
Meanwhile, registrations for Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 cricket are $100 and this includes the compulsory insurance levy and ball fees for the season.
These registrations should be received by October 5 so teams can be formed, particularly in relation to under 13 and under 16 divisions where the South West competition needs to know the number of teams being formed.
Under 11s (Stage 1 junior cricket) is usually played with an eight a side format where players bat in pairs and rules are modified to encourage as much participation as possible on the day. '
The competition is usually run with three Cootamundra teams and a team from Harden.
Players must not turn 11 years before August 31, 2020 to be eligible for this competition.
Under 13s (Stage 2 junior cricket) is an inter-town competition with teams from Cootamundra, Harden, Young and Temora.
Boys must not turn 13 prior to August 31, 2020 to be eligible. Girls can be two years outside this date and still be eligible for Stage 2.
Under 16s (Stage 3 Junior Cricket) is also an inter-town competition with teams from Cootamundra, Temora, Ariah Park and Young.
Parents are reminded they can use the Active Kids voucher where possible for these programs/competitions.
