Birthday greetings to these top Cootamundra residents who celebrate their birthdays this week - Mrs Peg Butt, from the Cootamundra Nursing Home, Wayne Johnston from Turner’s Furniture One, Kylie Annettes, from The Fireplace and Sara McPherson, top barrister at The Pickled Pantry.
LIVING ON
I called on Fay Williams and family after the passing of Pud Williams and Fay was telling me that the Williams Swim Centre will ‘live on’ under the direction of daughter Anne Gammon and her son Adam Gammon.
Prior to Pud’s passing there were many names on their books for the September school holidays as well as the summer holidays and there are spots still available.
DOING IT IN STYLE
The 13 debutantes making their debut tomorrow night at the Wattle Time Ball will be arriving at the Cootamundra Town Hall ‘in style’ thanks to the members of the Cootamundra Antique Motor Club.
Each deb and their partner will be travelling in Jaguars, GT Falcons amongst other cars, arriving at the Hall around 6pm (what a motorcade). Anyone interested is most welcome to be present outside the Town Hall.
Last weekend a number of these cars were used for the wedding of Rebecca Paton and Peter Matusiak. Members tell me that their cars are hired for a number of special occasions.
WEEKEND DOINGS –
Tomorrow the Health Pit Stop Day takes place at the Cootamundra Medical Centre.
The Wattle Time Ball takes place in the Cootamundra Town Hall.
Sunday - A Cake Decorating Workshop is taking place at the Arts Centre 10am to 4pm - all enquiries to 0434498645.
Then in the ‘snug and warm’ Tin Shed Theatre at 5pm the movie The Performance is showing (I saw this movie on Wednesday and can highly recommend it).
