The initiative has gained community support and prominence since Councillor Mary Donnelly donated her council payrise to the cause for the next two years.
Since then the Cootamundra Development Corporation has been coordinating a collection of funds with the goal being $7000 to add to the $13,000 already raised.
Initial quotes suggest it will cost around the $20,000 mark to see the clock functioning once more.
On Wednesday EA Southee added to the total with a fun-filled afternoon of biscuit decorating.
Students, both infants and primary, were tasked with decorating plain biscuits in the form of clocks.
The students used icing, smarties and bullets to create 12 ‘numbers’ and the two hands which form a clock, having loads of fun along the way.
Even more fun for the students was eating the biscuits!
Students and staff at the school wish to acknowledge the generous donation of biscuits from IGA and the Wish Card from Woolworths that allowed them to purchase the ingredients necessary for the activity.
The biscuit decorating raised around $200 for the cause with students asked to contribute a gold coin donation to participate.
The school will present the CDC with a cheque today, August 1, for the amount with students and staff looking forward to hearing the clock chiming in the not too distant future.
