‘TIS the season for Christmas light looking and plenty of local residents have already got into the spirit decorating their homes with Christmas lights and decorations.

Top experience for our Showgirl
AS part of being named 2014 Cootamundra Showgirl, Chloe Waters recently travelled to Dubbo to take part in a two-day deportment school.
A definite highlight for all Showgirl contestants across the region, the school offers a unique experience and the chance to make friends with some of the other girls.
The girls stayed at the Aussie Cabins in Dubbo, which is where the school took place.
On the Saturday, they started at 8am continuing until 6pm that night, learning how to walk like a lady, sit correctly and picking up some valuable tips on makeup application and skincare. Through in a session on table etiquette and it was a fun-filled program for all ladies involved.
After a busy day, the girls retired for dinner at the Blue Lagoon restaurant where they put what they learned that day into practice!
On the Sunday morning, the group focused mainly on speaking where each of the girls introduced themselves and shared some information on their lives back home.
Chloe reports it was a great weekend, packed with fun and laughs!
Her next Showgirl commitment is zone judging on February 21 in Finley.
It will be another opportunity to put what she learned in Dubbo to the test as she vies against other Showgirls in the region to impress the judges.
As one of the loveliest girls with a natural inclination to agriculture, a love for our town and a thirst for knowledge we know Chloe will continue to do the Cootamundra Show Society and indeed all of Cootamundra proud!
Sammy’s girls celebrate
LAST week, the ladies instructed by Samantha Doidge at Come Alive Fitness Centre on a regular basis enjoyed a wonderful Christmas gathering at E’Claires.
Around 25 ladies had a lovely time; several ladies couldn’t make it today but it was still a great get together.
Well done ladies on your commitment throughout the year.
