Weekend of fun and friendship
LAST weekend there were 90 ladies in town for the weekend. Mums of Year 12 students from Riverview College, Sydney.
They report having had a marvellous three days beginning with some in attendance at Jazz in the Garden Friday evening, Saturday “retail therapy” here or a brisk walk around town, followed by a long lunch at Ballinaclash Orchard, Young.
En route back to Cootamundra the Sydney ladies delighted in a stop at the Wombat Pub (for photos).
Back on the buses and one broke down, requiring the help of a passing pig farmer to get the bus going!!
They were in attendance at evening mass in the Sacred Heart Church, after which it was dinner at The White Ibis with Friday evening’s Jazz band providing music.
Late Sunday morning 60 ladies made their way to Long Track Pantry, Jugiong, for brunch.
Feel sure it was a “long road” back to Sydney - how good were these ladies for our local economy!!
Great day at Jugiong
MANY local and district residents ventured out to Jugiong recently for the highly successful Jugiong Writers Festival.

Garden party for couple’s engagement
TIM Carberry and Helen Ryan recently celebrated their engagement with a garden barbecue at their Wagga home.
Tim popped the question earlier in the year and decided to celebrate this occasion with their family and friends.
There were plenty of Tim’s former Cootamundra school mates with their partners at the party and they celebrated an all night affair around a fire and barbecue.
Tim’s parents and sister (Bruce, Shiralee and Sharni) were in attendance, with family members coming from Sydney and Canberra to also enjoy this special occasion.
The atmosphere in the backyard was excellent with special lighting, a jumping castle and face painting for all the younger members.
