Former students and teachers travelled from far and wide to delight in “catch up time”.
They toured through the school, had Sunday brunch at E’Claire’s, then many headed for the racetrack and the highly successful 2015 Darley Cootamundra Cup Race meeting.
It was nice to catch up with Graham Fazio, visiting from the North Coast, and he surely also enjoyed time with his lovely mum Vacey Fazio.
PADDY’S PASSING
WELL, one of Cootamundra’s best is gone with the passing of Paddy Davis.
Paddy passed away on Saturday evening last.
Many will remember when Paddy worked at Elders, then moved onto T. Williams & Co.
His farewell will take place tomorrow morning at 11am in the Christ Church Anglican Church, and we will all then gather at The Family Hotel to recall our happy times spent with Paddy.
SYMPATHY to Jane, Kate and family.
CELEBRATION AND SONG
There is always something happening at the Uniting Church, in Cooper Street.
On sunday next, October 11, at 2.30pm, another popular ‘Pleasant Sunday Afternoons’ will be held.
Theme of the afternoon is Celebration in Music and Song (to begin at 2pm).
Afternoon tea will follow in Dickson Hall. All most welcome to attend this time of celebration and song.
ANIMAL BLESSINGS
WHAT a special evening on Saturday last when Father Joshie celebrated 6pm mass in the presbytery garden with many happy events taking place - the christening of Scarlett Rose Lange, daughter of Brent and Sheree, the 50th wedding anniversary of Graham and Helen Rumble and the blessing of animals present belonging to parishioners.
Organist Kate Leary added to the lovely evening with her music renditions.
