The council noted an increase in people asking for their rate notice electronically so has answered the call.
Anyone who wants to switch from hard-copy to email version can complete the registration online, or at the council office, with terms and conditions of the delivery needing to be accepted as part of the sign-up process.
The default service will remain via post unless council receives a registration for email delivery.
Sending notices via email rather than post will save up to $693 per annum in printing and postage costs for every 100 assessments, according to council.
