All of the fun will take place on Saturday, August 27 with Albert Park the location of the fair weather permitting and the parade to make it’s way down Parker Street from Bourke Street at midday.
Host of the day’s events, the Cootamundra Development Corporation (CDC), already has 40 market stalls booked.
The CDC only allows the highest quality stalls to set up with plenty of local faces from at-home businesses as well as stallholders from across the state.
There will be an array of goods from candles and jewellery to rustic crafts and food items.
Visitors to the fair can also expect plenty of entertainment on the main stage with Fiona Braybrooks and the Bollywood Allstars confirmed and further details to be released as the CDC receives confirmation.
Barkbusters will also entertain with their puppy training techniques, supported by Gundagai Council Cootamundra Area.
The Police Crime Prevention Van, complete with Constable Charlie the penguin, will be on hand providing practical advice to community members.
For the kids, big and small, there will be rides aplenty including a giant slide, ponies, cup and saucer ride and more.
A vintage car Show ‘n’ Shine will complement the day’s activities set up in Fisher Park for car enthusiasts to peruse.
This is open all all car club members and individuals who want to show off their vehicle.
All community, sporting and business groups are invited to put their name down for the street parade which will kick off at noon as per tradition.
The CDC’s Ashleigh Warton said the Wattle Time activities are an opportunity to celebrate the connection of the town to the iconic Cootamundra Wattle.
The fair was resurrected in 2013 after a break of several years and has grown bigger each year.
In its first year back the fair had 63 market stalls while last year it had grown to 81 stalls.
“We are hopeful 2016 will be the biggest year yet,” Ms Warton said.
Again the fair has had good support from other community groups with the Cadets to man the gate and the SES offering to man Albert Park on the Friday night boosting security.
Ms Warton said the CDC welcomes any ideas or feedback in the lead-up to the event.
“Come along on Saturday, August 27 for everything home, garden, lifestyle and leisure,” Ms Warton said.
