The Cootamundra Little Athletics season kicks off on Friday, October 14 with the committee seeking high school age volunteers to be group leaders.

Any potential leaders will be shown how to do record keeping and educated on the rules and regulations for each event.
They will also be given a participation certificate at the end of the season along with a written reference from the Little Athletics president.
Little Athletics takes place each Friday afternoon from 5.20pm.
It offers participants activities and skills that will stand them in good stead for their sporting future.
Little Athletics is based upon the sport of athletics (track and field) and the events are specially modified to suit the ages and abilities of all children.
A wide range of running, jumping, throwing and walking events is conducted in the program.
The season runs until March 24 with a break for the Christmas holidays.
