The triples game winners were only a point behind (19.5), namely Geoff Hagan, Graham Bushell, and Kevin Breasley who defeated Charlie Willis, Brian Gibson and Roy Cleveland.
On Friday the Jackpot was not won, but equal scores of plus nine for two teams caused a count back to third place.
Adam Hutchinson and Brad Lange took the vouchers as a result of their win over Norm Apps and Michael Barber.
The other team winning with nine points was Graham Bushell and Eddie Jarrott who defeated Geoff Hagan and Arthur Ward.
Roger Williams, David Harris and Don Manwaring managed a plus six with their win over Charlie Willis, Peter Rasmussen and Kevin Breasley.
