The carnival has been a long standing tradition on the sporting calendar of Cootamundra, held in January each year for 32 years.
It attracts people from far and wide and greatly benefits local businesses, motels, hotels and petrol stations with the expenditure that comes into our town.
”Due to personal reasons I am no longer able to fulfil the co-coordinator role; I would like to invite another sporting group or organisation to take up the opportunity to continue this great tradition in our town,” Mrs McTavish said.
“I am happy to be contacted to answer any questions about this great event,” she continued.
Touch football is a summer institution in Cootamundra and is only possible via people putting their hand up to join the committees which run both the carnival and regular season.
