An out-of-town driver veered off the road in slippery conditions on the Burley Griffin Way near Wallendbeen on Thursday morning.

The crash caused serious damage to his car and resulted in the driver being taken to hospital.
The accident occurred four kilometres west of the village, towards Stockinbingal, at about 8am.
The driver was transported by paramedics to hospital in Wagga.
Meanwhile a Cootamundra motorist had a lucky escape when she lost control of her vehicle in the wet on Dirnaseer Road at about 5pm on Wednesday.
She and her passengers were mostly unhurt in the accident although the vehicle she was travelling in sustained damage.
With plenty of water still laying on district roads and more rain forecast this weekend and into next week, motorists are reminded to drive to the conditions of the road and take extra caution.
