But the dynamic duo, who play for ‘Wild Wild West’, is simply grateful for the increasingly rare chance to play the game they love.
“Everyone’s having kids now and not playing volleyball as much,” Mr Baldaulf said.
“This has become the one-off experience where we can still get together and play.”
Wild Wild West may dominate on the sand, but for them fun comes first, with Coota Beach acting as a social gathering above all else.
“We used to play indoor volleyball together in Melbourne,” Ms Baldaulf said.
“But now we have people living in places like Sydney, Bendigo, Melbourne and Temora.
“So we always meet here to have a good weekend together.”
The pair raved about the carnival’s energetic yet light-hearted atmosphere.
“Everyone is just having a good time, having a laugh and no one takes it too seriously,” Ms Baldaulf said.
Wild Wild West will compete for another A Grade title tomorrow afternoon.
