COOTAMUNDRA Ex-Services has two players, Neil Blackett and Roger Goode, contesting the rookie singles being held at Wagga RSL on the weekend.

Good bowling fellas.

Social bowls: On a cold Wednesday 18 brave bowlers took to the green with R Hillier, Bloopy and P Cockram getting away with a very close 24-22 win over B Cosgrove, G Snape and The Duck after leading 24-11 after 16 ends had been completed.

The Duck’s team came home with a wet sail scoring 11 shots in the final five ends to just miss out.

W Chater, A Small and P O’Brien were too strong for Oscar, M Barber and Pickles.

On rink five R Goode, Froggy and J White lead R Bennett, S Stanton and P Hoang 12-10 at the half way mark but in the remaining 11 ends Ron, Steve and Peter could only record four shots with their opposition Roger, Froggy and Jim amassing 14 shots to record a 26-14 win.
