Born and bred in the Cootamundra district, with a strong interest in her community, Isobella Booth is a worthy winner of this year’s Showgirl competition at the Cootamundra Show.

Prior to her sashing at the show, Show Society President Geoff Larsen commented on the calibre of entrants to this year’s competition with Naomi Clements named runner-up and Janine Lambert doing herself proud throughout the process.
“They have all acquitted themselves very well,” Mr Larsen said.
Ms Booth is 19-years-old and the youngest of David and Mary Booth’s seven children.
She currently works at a hotel in Cootamundra while on a gap year with plans to attend university next year.
Ms Booth entered the Showgirl competition to see the show from a different angle, to meet new people and make further connections in the agricultural industry.
She was visibly surprised when her name was announced the winner, however is looking forward to all of the opportunities her year as Cootamundra Showgirl will bring.
She thanked the Show Society for hosting the competition and affording her the opportunity to represent her town.
She will join other winners from across the zone for further judging and the chance to progress in the competition and will also complete an etiquette school.
Meanwhile, newly elected Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke was on hand to sash the winners of the Junior Showgirl, Little Miss Showgirl and Master Stockman Competitions.
These were won by Maddie Brown (winner) and Pip Crawford (runner-up), Liliana Chick (winner) and Rachel Roberts (runner-up) and Jackson Ellis (winner) and Stanley Craig (runner-up).
