An investigation is under way after a railing collapse at a weekend rugby game resulted in dozens of spectators falling onto a concrete pathway.

The incident occurred at Sydney's Leichhardt Oval on Saturday during a game between Saint Ignatius' College Riverview and St Joseph's College.
The collapse occurred in front of 15,000 fans and brought the game to a standstill.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said paramedics were already on scene at the time for the game, and that nobody came forward for treatment or needed hospitalisation following the collapse.
The oval is managed by Inner West Council, and mayor Darcy Byrne said the incident was "incredibly dangerous", while councillor Philippa Scott said she was "absolutely furious" about the situation.
"When the Inner West asks for upgrades to its infrastructure, it is not about pork-barreling, wish list items. This is infrastructure that has been neglected to the point of injurious collapse," she said on Facebook.
"This Liberal state government treats us with absolute contempt, and it's not just political, people's safety is at stake."

Leichhardt Oval was due to get a $50 million makeover but those plans have been put on hold.
Fellow Inner West councillor Marghanita da Cruz said the area has been secured and made safe for the public.
"Council will investigate the incident and ensure it is safe for the next match at the oval," she said on Facebook.
Leichhardt Oval is also one of the home grounds for NRL team Wests Tigers, with around four of five matches played there each year.
