Located on the South West Slopes in regional NSW Cootamundra is renowned as the birthplace of Sir Donald Bradman. The town is home to Bradman’s Birthplace Museum where visitors can marvel in some of the batsman’s cricket memorabilia.

Continuing its cricket theme the town’s main park Jubilee Park contains a Captains' Walk tribute to 40 Australian cricket captains in bronze sculptures

The town is also renowned as the home of the Cootamundra wattle.

Every year, in September, the town celebrates its "Wattle Time" Festival starting with a street parade and continuing with stalls and activities throughout the day.

With consistent rainfall, the area supports a strong farming community producing some of the finest rural products in Australia.
