Global giant BMW has launched its high-tech glimpse into the future with 'ConnectedRide Smartglasses' that will give motorcyclists unprecedented field of vision.

Data on navigation, speed and current gear are displayed directly to the rider's sight, circumventing the need to look away from the road.
"It can be easily connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth and app," BMW says.
"The projection can be positioned, and the settings can be selected before the ride or during, via the multicontroller on the motorcycle handlebars."
The goggles were developed by the auto manufacturer's motorcycle division, BMW Motorrad and will be released to coincide with its 100th anniversary.
It will use a lithium ion battery to provide up to ten hours of use compared to three hours on Facebook's Ray-Ban Stories and even less on Snapchat's Spectacles.

Two sets of lenses are included. One is 85 per cent transparent and can be used for helmets with integrated sun visors while the other is tinted and functions as a regular pair of sunglasses.
BMW Motorrad said these lenses would be adjustable for riders who wear prescription glasses.
Although no release date has been given for Australia, the product will launch in North American markets later this year.
The pricing has been revealed to be 690 euros in Europe, roughly translating to $1130 in Australia.
