Sydney venue Mary's Underground hosted a night dedicated to 'our true Lorde and saviour' on May 25 with a room full of Lorde fans flooding the dancefloor before the surprise guest arrived.
Lorde reportedly snuck onto the dancefloor in disguise, but it wasn't long until her fans realised that she was in their midst.
The Grammy-winner jumped behind the decks with Sugarush DJ Emma Parke, singing along to her new release What Was That and her collaboration with Charli XCX, Girl, So Confusing.
Ms Parke was "still in disbelief" over the pop star's surprise appearance, saying the night was one that she would be talking about for years to come.

"After years of throwing events, this was one of the most rewarding nights of my life. Completely unmatched," she said on May 26.
It was reportedly Lorde's idea to crash the event, as she prepares to release a new album, Virgin, on June 27.
