Three people have died in quad bike crashes in one state in less than a week, the latest a young man who clipped a tree stump on a forestry road.

The 20-year-old was riding with a group of friends in northwest Tasmania on Wednesday night when his bike left the road, police said.
Despite efforts from police and emergency services, he died at the scene.
Tasmania's government said it was looking at whether all-terrain vehicle regulations can be strengthened after two people died in a crash in the northwest on Saturday afternoon.
Adasyn Wood Savin, 16, who was on holiday from Newcastle, was riding a quad bike when it collided with a ute on a highway.
A 38-year-old man from Rosebery, who was also on the bike, also died at the scene despite the efforts of tourists who stopped to help.
A 40-year-old man who was behind the wheel of the ute escaped without injury.
Adasyn has been remembered as a "beautiful girl", with more than $17,000 being raised for her family online.
"She was having fun, spending time with friends, and making memories the way any 16-year-old should," said Ella Mackrell, who set up an online fundraising page.
Police are investigating both crashes and are preparing reports for the coroner.
Acting Inspector Martin Parker said they were a tragic reminder of how quickly things can go wrong.
"We urge all riders to take extra care. Wear helmets and protective gear, stick to safe speeds, and avoid risky terrain," he said.
Nationally, nine people died in quad bike crashes in 2025, a decrease from 20 in 2024.
According to Tasmania's regulations, quad bikes must not be driven on any classified or council road other than those specifically mentioned in the permit allowing their use.
