Mikel Arteta's team ended their three-game winless run in style on the road and only strengthened their title charge.
Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres and Gabriel Jesus were all on target, while Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow added an own goal.
"We really wanted to show how much we wanted it," Arteta said.
"It's very difficult to (win 4-0 at Leeds), let's see who is the next team that does it, but we did it in a moment when we needed it."
Defending champions Liverpool finally secured their first league win of 2026, beating Newcastle United 4-1 in Saturday's late game.
After childhood Liverpool supporter Anthony Gordon put the visitors in front on 36 minutes, Hugo Ekitike scored twice and Florian Wirtz was on target again as two of the Reds' big summer signings delivered before the break at Anfield. Ibrahim Konate sealed the win late on.
The France defender was overcome with emotion on his return to action after the death of his father.
"I don't have words to describe what I feel right now because it was a very difficult moment for me and my family the last two weeks," Konate told TNT Sports.
The win moves Arne Slot's side back up to fifth place and above Manchester United, who host Fulham on Sunday.

Manchester City and Aston Villa can trim Arsenal's lead back to four points, also on Sunday, but the Gunners demonstrated why they will take some catching.
Having beaten Leeds 5-0 in August, the Gunners enjoyed another romp against Daniel Farke's team.
The league leaders suffered a blow in the warm-up when their England forward Bukayo Saka was injured and had to be withdrawn.
But in his absence, Arsenal, who gave Declan Rice his 300th Premier League appearance, totally dominated, with Zubimendi heading the visitors in front after 27 minutes and Darlow punching Noni Madueke's corner into his own net before halftime.
Gyokeres scored for the fourth time in six games in the second half and substitute Jesus fired low into the bottom corner late on.
In London, Chelsea came back from two goals down at home to beat West Ham United 3-2 and climb up to fourth, with Enzo Fernandez hitting the winner in the second minute of added time.

Chelsea had trailed to goals from Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville, but three halftime substitutions paid off.
Joao Pedro and Marc Cucurella came off the bench to score and level the game by the 70th. Then they took all three points when Fernandez swept in the winner.
The dramatic finish sparked a mass confrontation between the players and Jean-Clair Todibo was sent off for violent conduct.
Elsewhere, last-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers lost for the 18th time this season, 2-0 at home to Bournemouth.
Everton scored in the seventh minute of added time to draw 1-1 at Brighton & Hove Albion, the second time this week they'd fought back to salvage a point.
