Pictured here is Robyn Harris in front of her latest patchwork creation – this magnificent, impressive, wonderful quilt has been made with ‘special love’ to be raffled on Pink Ribbon Day.
Robyn has put many hours of time into it and she has sourced the fabrics from all over including the Pink Ribbon fabric which she purchased on a trip to Canada/Alaska.
Tickets will be available at the Loft, Patchwork on Parker and I will have a book of tickets ‘eager’ to sell to anyone interested (the quilt is SOOO beautiful perhaps I will buy the book!)
Also Robyn will be seen outside The Loft (on warmer days!) displaying the quilt and selling tickets, all money raised going to that very worthy cause Pink Ribbon Day
MORNING TEA TIME
These ladies (from left) Kathleen Twyford, Jenny Apps and Helen Cook were pictured enjoying morning tea at “C.C’s” at Christ Church Centre this week.
Do call into “C.C’s” and try their coffee or tea and sample the scones and slices which are available. Take away’s are also available.
Whilst there I was most impressed with their pre-loved clothes and nick nacks which were on sale. Certainly worth a visit, open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10am until 4pm and sometimes on a Saturday morning.
MILESTONE BIRTHDAYS
Just delighted to be saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY to three TOP Cootamundra residents who this week celebrated their birthdays –
Mrs Beryl McPhail, Merralee Gordon and Jo Chester all marked their special birthdays with morning teas and parties attended by their friends and family members.
AND a ‘little early’ BUT happy birthday to Darlene Gray who will be a ‘birthday girl’ later this month. The ladies at her patchwork class yesterday delighted Darlene with a yummy morning tea party there at Patchwork on Parker.
THINKING OF JANE
The many friends of Jane Redman will be sorry to hear that she has not been well. At the moment she is in Calvary Hospital, Wagga.
Until recently, Jane was running “Paws Awhile” (now the new half of ‘Wrapped”) and always happy to help us with our hairy animals and other pet
requirements. Our very best wishes go to her at this difficult time.
NEWS ON JILL
On Friday last we met up with our Wagga family at the Junee Licorice Factory for a school holiday outing. Oh what a busy place, there were masses of visitors for the chocolate freckle making sessions and lunch.
I was delighted to strike up a conversation with a couple from Bathurst who when I mentioned I was from Cootamundra commented they are good friends with former Cootamundra lady Jill Beddie, meeting her and daughter Genevieve each week for coffee.
