POLICE are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of 20-year-old Cootamundra man Luke Doyle.

Luke was found dead at a home in Young on Tuesday morning.
At about 7.30am, Police were called to a Burrongong Hall Road address in Young after the occupants of the premises found Luke deceased.
It is believed Luke had been at a home in Taylor Road the previous night and was taken from there to the Burrongong Hall Road address in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Police believe he may have been unconscious at the time he was taken from one house to the other. While investigations into the cause of Luke’s death are still ongoing, at this stage, Police suspect drugs may have been a factor.
Police are now appealing for the public to help them identify an 18-year-old male who may have assisted two other males in carrying the unconscious body of Luke into a ute outside the Taylor Road address.
It is believed by Police the 18-year-old, who was wearing basketball type clothing, may have been unrelated to the group Luke was with, making him an independent witness.
“Police would like this person to come forward and contact us,” Detective Inspector Smith said.
“This person is not in any trouble, however we urge him to come forward as we would like to speak with him.”
Officers are also keen to talk to anyone who may have seen the ute – an early model red Nissan Navara tray back with green P plates – in the vicinity of Taylor Road between 10pm on Monday night and 2am on Tuesday
morning.
A toxicology report has been ordered, however the results of this are unlikely to be known for several weeks. This report will determine if Luke had taken any prescription or illicit drugs before his death.
Tributes have been flooding in for Luke from acquaintances who are shocked and saddened by the loss of their friend and family member so young.
Luke had been a student of Cootamundra High School and played rugby league for both the local junior and senior clubs.
