The scene is a street procession, turning from Wallendoon Street into Parker Street.
There is no indication as to what parade it may have been, or why it was held.
A magnifying glass shows Cliff Scott’s radio repair shop in Wallendoon Street (next to the old ‘Herald’ premises) and some research proves he opened there on October 10, 1945.
In 1948 (or possibly before that year), Mr Scott was trading in Parker Street.
Perhaps the Scott signage remained in place after he moved?
Any information concerning the photo would be appreciated (phone Pat 6942 2263).
It will remain on display at the Heritage Centre, with other previously unseen images.
