The bike was stolen from his front yard in Cootamundra three weeks ago, picked apart, and dumped in Stockinbingal.
A couple who found what was left of the bike had seen Alexzander’s story on social media, contacted his mum, and returned the bike.
Kimberley and Troy Whicker marvelled that their son’s bike had been returned.
“This is the beauty of living in the country,” Kimberley said.
“We come from Sydney, and trust me, once something is stolen in Sydney it’s gone for good.”
The family has been touched by the thoughtfulness of local community members.
“A man we have never met even offered a $50 reward for the bike,” Troy said.
