AMANDA Norman last week danced at a wedding for five hours straight. This week, she used a whipper snipper, peeled potatoes and went for a jog. The chores sound mundane, but they are the parts of life withheld from the former Cootamundra woman for many years.

On Thursday, three months since she flew to Russia for multiple sclerosis (MS) treatment, Ms Norman spoke of her incredible results. “I wasn’t even able to walk to the letterbox without pain,” she said. “I didn’t even realise how unwell I was until I got back to Australia – MS was just part of day to day living.”
The stem cell treatment is not designed to cure MS, but stop it in its tracks.
“Anything beyond that is a bonus,” Ms Norman said. “I’ve received my life back … and I cannot thank the Riverina community enough.”
