The club has decided to shake things up with the implementation of a coaching panel to assist the local coaches, including gifted but inexperienced first grade coach Hayden Crockett.
Crockett is relieved of his duties until the end of February while he deals with personal matters.
Named so far on the coaching panel is Perry, along with local coach and former New Zealand international Mark Elia.
Committee member Mick Dabin said in a statement that the purpose of the strategy is to bring “a wide range of coaching experiences that is not always available at a local level.”
Dabin said the club is aiming to increase competition for spots in the now-full first grade side.
