The home side won the match by 25 points (10-16-76 to 7-9-51).
The Blues were forced to make nine changes to their side that played ADFA/RMC the previous Saturday.
Missing regulars included the backline trio of Joel Pearson, Joel Bradbury, and Liam Frilay.
Missing these three players, plus not having Luke Johnston and Dylan McDermott, certainly stretched the Blues resources.
The coaching staff are to be commended for ringing around and still getting the Blues to field a competitive side.
Hard to believe that five weeks ago the Blues thrashed the Hogs by 99 points, however that is football when both sides made multiple changes to their playing line up.
The Hogs took a 23-point lead at the first change, and at the long break they had extended their lead to 28 points.
At the final change, the home side led by 20 points.
The Blues won the final quarter booting 3-3 to 2-4.
While disappointed with another loss, the Blues took some positives out of the match.
The continued improvement of ruckman Sam Baldock was the shining light of the day.
The tall 18-year-old that has only played a handful of senior matches, has improved his overhead marking considerably.
- Goals: Sandy Maskell Knight 4, Mick Knagge, Stephen Chant, and Blake Mansfield.
- Best: Sam Baldock, Phil Bird. Chris Drum, Sam Herzich, Ryan Miller, and Stephen Chant.
Next Saturday the Blues will face off against ADFA/RMC at RMC.
