The game was 27 ends and at the halfway mark the score was 13-10 in Roman’s favour and was anyone’s game, but the second half was all in favour of Roman who outscored Terry 18-9 in the remaining ends to go on and take the title 31-23.
Paul Cockram and Wendy Deacon take one of the final spots in the mixed pairs and are waiting for their final opponents. Allan Small is first into the 2016 Minor Singles final and is also waiting to find out his opposition.
Wednesday had 18 bowlers take advantage of the absence of rain where P Hoang, M Deberardis & T Cosgrove accounted for B Cosgrove, S Stanton & J Huntington 25-16. A great game of triples saw T Meale, P Richardson & Froggy Roberts sneaked in with a 19-18 win over B Meale, A Small & J White. R Hillier, G Snape & G Dennis finished second to K Hampton, P Cockram & G Fisher 28-15.
Friday saw two games of pairs and two games of triples with some players from the coast playing prior to the Cootamundra CC triples tournament. G Snape, J Huntington & J White narrowly beaten by O Lopez, M Deberardis & R Gasper 20-18. T Shephard, Richo & P Guthrie taking the win with a close 21-17 score. J Featherstone & B New had a comfortable win over B Meale & M Gibbins 24-10. P Cockram & V Gasper had a narrow win 21-20 over R Hillier & J Gasper.
