Mrs Howard, 85, died peacefully at the Coffs Harbour Nursing Centre on December 30 surrounded by her loving family.
She was a resident of Cootamundra for 30 years and was involved with many community groups in the town – including starting up the junior town netball competition.
Mrs Howard was a life member of the Cootamundra Cricket Association and Cootamundra Australian Rules football club. She also was the treasurer of the Town Tennis and Stockingbingal Tennis clubs.
Margaret was a member of the Soroptomist Club and well involved with Life Education.
She is the dearly beloved wife of Darryl, loved mother and mother-in-law of David and Peta, and adored grandmother of Audrey, Ella and Ivy. Margaret's private funeral was held at the chapel of Hogbin Drive Crematorium and Memorial Gardens, Coffs Harbour on January 4.
