Swimmers from small schools across the district travelled to Jugiong on February 10 for the Small Schools Swimming Carnival.
Schools which participated in the carnival were Binalong, Jugiong, Stockinbingal and Wallendbeen.
The carnival is all about inclusion with 25 metre races held to encourage many students to swim, as well as 50 metre races for the more competitive students.
With such a hot day forecast, organisers got on with the show getting kids in and out of the pool for events quickly. Some fast times by the students also helped to move things along!
The winning school on the day was Jugiong, with Stockinbingal in second place.
For a village without a pool, Stockinbingal students performed exceptionally; all medalists swim for the Temora Swimming Club.
Stockinbingal medalists were Juvenile Girl Champion Georgia Reid and Addison Matthews (equal first), Juvenile Girl Third Place Chloe Mayor, Junior Girl Champion Chelsea Reid, Junior Girl Runner Up Skye Mayor and Senior Boy Champion Adam Mayor.
Jugiong Public School medalists included Juvenile Boy Champion John Elphick, Juvenile Boy Runner Up Lachie Robb, Junior Boy Champion Monty Hyles, Junior Boy Runner Up Samuel Elphick, Senior Boy Runner Up Bill Elphick, Senior Girl Runner Up Regan Manton and Senior Girl Champion Tilly Coggan.
Wallendbeen Public School participated proudly, however did not have any medalists.
