The fifth-placed Cootamundra outfit have only three games to claw their way back into the top four and must win their remaining three games to seal their place in next month’s finals
Though the Bullettes are on equal competition points with Brothers and fourth-placed Gundagai, last weekend’s 14-all draw with Temora saw Coota’s most successful side slip beneath the Tigers and out of a guaranteed finals berth.
Speaking on Thursday, Bullettes’ skipper Kristen Glanville admitted the next few weeks would be tense.
“it’s nerve-wracking knowing how close we are to finals and how tight things are at the top of the table,” Glanville said.
“We probably should have beaten Gundagai earlier and we were close to getting up last week but now we’re up against a Brothers side we haven’t beaten in a while.
Things don’t get any easier for the Bullettes with ladder-leaders Albury awaiting them next Sunday but Glanville is certain her side can pull through.
“The next two games are massive for our team.”
“Brothers and Albury make it a tough run to finals but the girls have been training really well this week and we’re really keen to have another crack at Brothers in Wagga.”
The Bullettes kick off against Brothers 11:10am Sunday July 23 at McDonalds Park.
