The Viva under 10s and under 13s, together with the boys under 10s will all proudly represent the club when finals are played at the Temora Recreation Ground.
The success of the Vivas is a standout story this season.
Vivas builds the skills of girls for contact rugby, providing a pathway into the sport which is increasing in popularity.
Their addition has provided a wonderful boost to the club, giving the sisters and friends of the boy Bears an avenue to be on the field.
Boys U 10s
Versus: Griffith Black
Kick-off: 11.30am
Coaches: Anthony Shepherd and Paul Clancy
They may not be the biggest lads in the league but what these boys lack in size, they make up for in heart.
It will be a David v Goliath battle when they take on the larger Griffith outfit, however the Bears can focus on the fact they have won over Griffith early this season.
Shepherd has been impressed with the teamwork of his troops.
“They have gone from little individuals at the start of the year to working for eachother,” he said.
As well as players from Cootamundra, others travel in from Harden, Illabo and Bethungra.
Viva girls U 10s
Versus: Griffith
Kick-off: 9.30am
Coaches: Megan Gale and Emily Harris
This talented group of girls were minor premiers in the inaugural year of Viva rugby in Cootamundra.
Gale could not be prouder to have two Viva teams in the grand final and commended her girls on their efforts this season.
The girls have beaten the strong Griffith side previously, however Gale is still expecting a tough, intense match.
She is encouraging her girls to work together and have fun on what is a special occasion for the Cootamundra Junior Rugby Club.
Viva girls U 13s
Versus: Young Green
Kick-off: 10.10am
Coaches: Megan Gale and Emily Harris
These girls have perhaps the toughest task of the three Bears sides coming up against the minor premiers and form team of the competition, Young Green.
The Cootamundra girls have not managed a win over the side this year, but are getting closer every time they come against them.
“We have given them a few shocks this year” Gale said.
The girls have been coming together at training well and, as Gale said, anything can happen on the day.
