The annual event is a much-loved institution run in recent years by the Cootamundra Development Corporation.
It represents the traditional period when the famous Cootamundra wattle blooms in the town and around the district.
The fair will once again take place in Fisher Park with gates opening at 9am and the fairground operating until 4pm.
Market stalls will be dotted around the oval with something for everyone from local produce including olives and chilli sauces to locally-made candles, hand-crafted leather goods, garden art and jewellery.
For the younger brigade there will be rides including a pirate ship, gigantic inflatable slide and jumping castle, ponies and ‘catch-a-fish’.
They will also be able to have their face painted.
This year’s Miss Wattle, Maddison Baker will be in attendance, recognisable by her gold sash.
She will play a part in the fair’s official opening which is scheduled to take place at 2.10pm.
Before the opening, local residents and visitors to Cootamundra can grab a bite to eat from one of the many food outlets to be set up at the fairground.
The Shannon’s Show n Shine was popular last year and is the place to be for resident revheads to check out everything from vintage automobiles to raw muscle cars.
It will run from 9am until 12noon in Fisher Park with those who bring their pride and joy along sure to welcome others having a look at their flash vehicles.
The Show n Shine is sponsored by Shannon’s Insurance.
Another highlight of the day will be the Street Parade, which will make its way down Parker Street from 12noon.
The street will be closed as various community organisations and business groups show their support for Wattle Time by participating.
Residents are encouraged to line the street and cheer on the passing floats.
A big day of Wattle Time will conclude with the staging of the Wattle Time Debutante Ball to be held in the Town Hall.
