Logistics operators and business owners from across the Riverina attended the 2017 Freight and Industry Forum to discuss the state government's Fixing Country Roads project and NSW Freight and Ports Strategy.
Nationals MP Melinda Pavey led a lively panel including Lynely Miners (Livestock, Bulk and Rural Carriers Association), Brent Kelly (Pacific National), Fiona Simson (NRMA) and Robert Hardie (NSW Farmers).
Issues raised included cost of transportation, tolls, road safety and east-west rail development.
