President Jenny welcomed everyone and after the previous minutes were read made mention of our great appreciation to the Cootamundra community for their generosity to the auxiliary and hospital.
Over the last month many generous donations have been received from various clubs and personal gifts as well as money received at funerals in memory of the person concerned.
We do have a wish list from the hospital waiting to be full filled and the top priority being a Sit to Stand lifter which is presently on order and not cheep.
It was also noted that the paediatrics monitor purchased in memory of Jai Godbier has arrived at the hospital.
The name plaque is presently being arranged.
Our treasurer reported a very good return from our August Street Stall.
Once again thanks to the community who helped us by providing and buying lots of delicious cooking.
The Father's Day raffle was also finalised that day giving another very good financial result.
Two of our members visited Temora for their auxiliary AGM in August.
Future plans were next on the agenda – the Ex-Services Club Bowls Charity Day sometime in November, always a good day. Then the Christmas raffle starting in November. This year there will be two raffles one for adults and one for children.
Next year on Saturday, April 7, it is planned to hold an Art, Craft and Floral Art Fair from 9.30am to 2pm with tea, coffee, sandwiches, slices available throughout the day.
President Jenny informed the meeting that the auxiliary has been offered a donation of paintings by the family of Jody Parish with a view to auctioning/selling them to raise money. So it is anticipated to combine a silent auction at the April 2018 Fair.
More details on these future events will be made known closer to the events.
Next Hospital Auxiliary meeting is Tuesday, October 10 at 2pm. All welcome.
